Book Review: "Hot Stuff" by Carly Phillips

Book Review: "Hot Stuff" by Carly Phillips

Book Description:

Annabelle Jordan and her two sisters were little orphans in frilly dresses and ruffled panties when they went to live with their sports-lawyer uncle in his testosterone-fuelled world of locker rooms, bookies and gambling.

Now the girls are all grown up, and publicists in their uncle’s firm, The Hot Zone. Yet Annabelle is all woman, despite her upbringing. And she’s naturally drawn to real men - like her latest client, ex-football legend and businessman Brandon Vaughn.

The chemistry is potent, undeniable, irresistible. But Annabelle soon realizes that Brandon is much more than just another jock. And that she’d better hold onto her panties if she doesn’t want to lose her heart.

This is the first in the "Hot Zone" series. I throughly enjoyed it. This is the second series I have read by Carly Phillips. The first being her "Lucky" series. This is one of those books that you wonder why you waited so long to read it. I can't wait to read the remaining books in the series.

Happy Reading!

Book Review "Dirty Sexy Knitting" by Christie Ridgway

Book Review: "Dirty Sexy Knitting" by Christie Ridgway

Book Description:
Conclusion to the trilogy that started with How to Knit a Wild Bikini and Unravel Me.
Malibu & Ewe's owner, Cassandra Riley, is about to turn thirty and wants to celebrate with her knitting club and her newfound half-sisters, Nikki and Juliet, in a big birthday extravaganza. But with Juliet on her honeymoon and Nikki with her fiancĂ©, it seems everyone’s paired up—except for Cassandra. Until a series of near-death accidents causes Cassandra to run straight into the arms of the one man she’s avoided most.
This might be the best in the triology. They all were good, actually. You should read them in order to get the back stories. Highly recommended series. I am a new fan of Christie Ridgway. These are the first books I have read by her and will be reading more. Don't let the titles throw you off. =) Actually that is how I picked up "How to Knit a Wild Bikini". What a way to grab the reader. I am hooked!
Happy Reading!

Book Review: "Straight From The Hip" by Susan Mallery

Book Review: "Straight From The Hip" by Susan Mallery

Book Description:

Sometimes the greatest risks bring the greatest rewards….

Izzy has always been the fearless Titan sister. But when an oil rig blows up, leaving her barely able to see, her sisters find themselves as concerned by her emotional withdrawal as by the possibility that the explosion was no accident. Are the mind games their long-lost brother Garth has been playing turning physical? Or is someone else out to get them? When her sisters enroll her in a survivor training camp, Izzy is not happy. Though Nick, her instructor, is determined that she won't be left in the dark. In more ways than one. But if he tells her the terrible truth behind why he's helping her, he'll probably never see her again. Unless they're both willing to take the biggest risk of all.

This is the third in the "Lone Star Sisters" series. I was hesitant to read this as the last Susan Mallery series I read I was very disappointed in the plot in the last book. But then I read that there is a fourth book so I relaxed a little. =) I enjoyed this book. This is Izzy's story. I really like how the other characters are still interacting in the future books. The next book comes out in November and it is the sisters' friend Dana. Reading the synopsis...... I don't know..... I am going to TRY and read it with and open mind..... =) I promise.

Happy Reading!
